Porch & Pumpkins(“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit porch-and-pumpkins.com or use our services, how we use that information, and the rights you have over it.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1.1. Information you give us directly. When you book a package, join our waitlist, contact us, or otherwise interact with us, we collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, property address.
- Booking information: the package you selected, preferred installation date, property type (primary residence / vacation home / rental / commercial), design preferences, access instructions, and any notes you provide.
- Payment information: card details and billing address, processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications: the content of emails, contact form submissions, and text messages you send us.
1.2. Information we collect automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited.
- Usage information: pages viewed, time on site, links clicked, and interactions with our booking flow.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small data files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences, understand site usage, and (with your consent) support marketing analytics.
1.3. Information from third parties. If you interact with us through Instagram, Facebook, or another social platform, we may receive limited information from that platform (such as your username or public profile). If you pay through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another wallet, we receive limited transaction information from that provider.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, schedule, and deliver the services you have booked.
- Process payments and issue receipts, refunds, and credits.
- Communicate with you about your booking, delivery window, weather delays, or scheduling changes.
- Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, post-installation check-ins, waitlist notifications).
- Send marketing emails and seasonal updates — only if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Improve our services, website performance, and customer experience.
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and comply with legal obligations.
- Photograph completed installations for marketing use (subject to Section 8 of our Terms and Conditions).
We do not sell your personal information. See Section 6 for the California and Nevada “Do Not Sell” details.
3. When we share your information
We share personal information only in the limited circumstances below.
3.1. Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the business, including:
- Payment processors (to process transactions).
- Email and SMS providers (to send booking confirmations and marketing).
- Website hosting and analytics providers (to run and improve the site).
- Delivery and logistics partners (to schedule and complete installations).
These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
3.2. Legal compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions, protect our rights, or investigate fraud or safety issues.
3.3. Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this Policy.
3.4. With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and understand how it is used. Types of cookies we use:
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to function (session management, cart, security).
- Analytics cookies: help us understand traffic and site usage (e.g., Google Analytics 4 and PostHog). These may collect anonymized IP address and browsing behavior.
- Marketing cookies (only with your consent): used to measure the effectiveness of any advertising campaigns.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. General retention periods:
- Active customer records: for the duration of the customer relationship plus 4 years.
- Payment and tax records: at least 7 years, as required by tax law.
- Marketing subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, plus 90 days.
- Website analytics: typically 14 months (Google Analytics default).
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically. Your choice is stored on this browser, so you may need to set it again on other browsers or devices.
You are currently opted in.
Use this control to opt out of analytics that may be considered “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA.
6.3. Nevada residents. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of certain personal information under Nevada Revised Statutes 603A. We do not sell personal information as defined by Nevada law, but if you wish to be added to our internal do-not-sell list, email hello@porch-and-pumpkins.com with “Nevada Privacy Request” in the subject line.
7. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes encrypted transmission of sensitive data (HTTPS/TLS), restricted internal access, and secure third-party payment processing.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children’s privacy
Our services are directed to adults age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
